Villa Tchantik is located in the town of Deshaies in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. This superb holiday villa is only one kilometer from the beach at Grande Anse and the town of Deshaies. Featuring four air conditioned bedrooms with private bathrooms, this luxury villa can accommodate up to nine guests. It is perfect for a holiday with family or friends in Guadeloupe.
Villa Tchantik is part of a private secure compound which includes two bungalows—Yin and Yang. As a result, by booking both bungalows, the compound can accommodate up to 13 guests.
Furniture from Bali takes center stage in this tastefully decorated architect-designed villa. Guests will experience a true getaway feeling—you'll enjoy a sea view from wherever you are in the villa!
Its shared areas are partionless allowing you to discern the impressive high ceiling. The kitchen is fully-fitted and has everything you'll need to cook just like at home during your stay. A small area behind the villa amid the lush vegetation is a place where you can relax to the gentle sound of the river flowing below. The shaded patio provides an absolutely idyllic holiday setting. The deck-level swimming pool is 12 meters long and offers a true change of scenery. A large outdoor table makes it possible to have your meals in the shade with the superb landscape of Basse-Terre in the background. A first outdoor area is perfect for reading in total peace and quiet while the second area is the perfect spot for cocktails!
Centrally located in Basse-Terre, Villa Tchantik is a five-minute car ride away from the most beautiful beaches in Deshaies—Grande-Anse, La Perle, Anse Tillet, etc. You'll also be close to the Botanical Garden, the town of Deshaies and its many restaurants popular on the island including La Savane.

We have been to most of the islands in the Caribbean at this point. We always try and stay at a villa rental that has a view, so we can enjoy dinner and drinks in the evening while watching the crash against the shore. This was the perfect villa for that. In addition, it faced the west. So, when you came back in the late afternoon the pool was still in the sun which kept you warm while you take a dip. We have stayed on the Atlantic side of other islands and the mountain in the middle of the island will block the sun after about 4PM but this villa had sun right up to sunset. It is also by three amazing beaches. We only drove over to a Grande Terre beach once because the winds were causing some cloud cover and drizzle on our side of Basse Terre. My wife and I have already said that Guadeloupe and this villa specifically are in our top couple of Caribbean locations and we will return.

Rental terms
Terms of payment
A 30% deposit is required upon reservation. The remaining amount must be fully paid one month before arrival. For reservations made 30 days or less before arrival, the full rental amount is due upon booking.
Cancellation policy :
- Up to 31 days before arrival: 30% of the total reservation will be invoiced (the deposit is forfeited)
- From 30 to 21 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total reservation will be invoiced
- 20 to 15 days prior to arrival: 75% of the total reservation will be invoiced
- Less than 15 days before arrival: 100% of the total reservation will be invoiced
